Jempec Energy

Jempec Energy is a wholly owned energy holding subsidiary of Jempec Holdings was established in 2016 to take advantage of the changing landscape in South Africa’s energy market. The company commissioned and successfully operated a biogas plant on behalf of Harmony Gold in the Free State. The company pivoted into renewable energy through the formation of Jempec Energy Projects in 2019 and Jempec Power Solutions in 2021.

Jempec Energy Projects

Jempec Energy has a 51% stake in Jempec Energy Projects (JEP), its subsidiary in renewable energy. JEP is involved in renewable energy projects across Limpopo, South Africa.

The company is currently developing more than 160 MW of solar energy outside Lephalale, and is involved in two other early-stage solar projects outside Mokopane and Musina which will deliver over 400 MW of solar energy.

These projects align us with South Africa’s growing commitment to renewable energy.

JPS provides tailor-made energy solutions from 1MW to 10MW projects. Our highly skilled team provides end to end solutions from grid-tied to off-the-grid and storage solutions. We provide technical solutions as well as financial solutions to fund qualifying energy projects. Our approach is informed by our passion to save our clients energy costs and provide lasting energy solutions.
